Angelica Zumpo is a Narrm/Melbourne-based metalsmithing artist. She graduated with an Honours of Fine Art degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Victoria, where she specialised in the field of Gold and Silversmithing. Her practice is largely based on the concepts of home and devotion, incorporating elements of the old world with a contemporary practice. She utilises materials such as silver, brass, copper and bronze in conjuction with stones, fabrics and found objects. She delicately interweaves her interest of drawing and design with metal craft to create unique jewellery and object pieces that reflect her inner qualia. Incorporating both wearability and whimsical design elements, she creates bespoke pieces that appeal to ones inner world and imaginative landscape.
